Chatterjee also maintains a visiting affiliation at IIM Ahmedabad as a Visiting Adjunct Professor in Economics and as a Visiting Fellow at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University. Chatterjee's research employs insights from empirical industrial organization, applied microeconomics and strategic foundations of industries, to examine the trade-offs between access, innovation and welfare in global pharmaceutical & healthcare markets. His work is published in global peer- reviewed outlets like the Management Science, RAND Journal of Economics, and Journal of Development Economics among others.
